The United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) is a professional network that brings together the units responsible for evaluation in the United Nations system and in international organizations and funds working closely with the UN system. It aims to strengthen the objectivity, effectiveness and visibility of the evaluation function and to advocate for the importance of evaluation for learning, decision-making and accountability. As part of its mandate, UNEG formed a Task Force on Evaluation of Normative Work in response to an increased call for such evaluations and a dearth of relevant resources.
