COVID-19’s gender implications

This paper, based on lessons learned and analysis of prior public health crises in the developing world and humanitarian settings, aims to help ensure COVID-19 mitigation and response efforts take gender into account in appropriate and meaningful ways.

CARE calls on development and humanitarian organizations, national governments, and international donors to consider the gendered implications of the pandemic and to mitigate the disproportionate gender impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
